Contact Us By Email My Reasons To Book Directly Through the Hotel A Reliable Money Saver People Know This, One of the most reliable money savers is By Booking Directly with the hotel rather than through a third party site, then asking the property to match or beat the rate you found online. Many hotels would rather give you a slightly better direct rate ( and the perks that come with it ) than pay a commission to a booking site. With all their junk advertising, third party booking sites might seem like the cheapest option, but booking directly through a hotel's website can come with unexpected perks. Hotels often reward direct bookings with extras like complimentary breakfast, better room locations or even discounts on future stays. Plus, it increases your chances of being prioritized for upgrades. Flexibility Booking directly with a hotel often provides more flexibility than using a third party agency like Expedia, Hotels.com or Trivago. This can be especially helpful if your plans change. Easier Changes & Cancellations If you need to modify, shorten, or cancel your stay, you deal straight with the front desk instead of waiting on a middleman. Price Matching Many hotel chains offer a best rate guarantee and will match lower online prices if you find them elsewhere. Better Room Assignment Hotels often prioritize direct guests over third party bookers when handing out upgrades or better views. Special Requests Requests for higher floors, early check-in, or cribs are less likely to get lost in translation. The Disadvantages of Third Party Booking Sites Like Expedia, Trivago, Hotels.com and Booking.com High Hotel Commissions Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) charge hotels 15% to 25% in commission fees for every reservation. These costs can lead properties to inflate room rates or pass hidden fees on to consumers. Hidden Fees and Price Discrepancies While third party sites advertise lower base rates, extra service charges or hidden fees can make the final cost equal to or higher than booking direct. Many hotel chains also feature Best Price Guarantees and will match lower public rates if you contact them directly. Possible Complicated Middleman Service Nightmares If flights are delayed or canceled, airline or hotel staff often cannot touch or rebook third party tickets, forcing you to resolve the issue through the OTA's support line instead of getting immediate help at the desk. Not As Nice Room Assignments Hotels typically prioritize their best room selections, views, and special requests for guests who book directly through their own official website or desk. Impersonation and Scams Some aggressive third party or rogue broker sites mimic official hotel pages with deceptive URLs, trapping travelers with inflated rates and rigid cancellation policies. ______________________________    ________________________________________ Explore More, Our Menu Salt Lake City Hotels, By Area...
